A Bit About Me
Hello, I’m Ashley Sayers. I am an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a Full-Spectrum Doula with over 16 years of experience, and a passionate Perinatal Educator. I provide non-judgmental, holistic support to help you navigate pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and feeding, empowering you to meet your unique parenting goals.
As the founder of the Native Breastfeeding Coalition of California, I am deeply committed to promoting Native human milk feeding practices and increasing cultural awareness in lactation support. My dedication to this work was honored with the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee's 2023 Native Knowledge Award. Beyond my direct work with families, I also train nurses, mentees, and students, sharing knowledge to improve breastfeeding support across communities.
As a mother of six, I know firsthand the challenges new parents face. My own journey of birthing and feeding my babies has shaped my understanding of the importance of tailored, empathetic care. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions; instead, I aim to educate, adapt, and empower. My goal is that every family I work with leaves feeling more confident, capable, and supported in their decisions—whether it’s birth, feeding, or parenting.
When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my partner, our children, and our pups. Family is at the heart of all I do, and I bring that same warmth and reverence into every aspect of my work, treating perinatal care as the sacred ceremony it is.
I’m here to walk alongside you in this special season of life, providing compassionate, culturally informed care every step of the way.
